In 2022 together, as 50 churches and 30+ businesses and foundations, we made available 3,500+ new shoes, socks and backpacks filled with school supplies to local students! View a complete partner list here.

From haircuts and winter coats to medical checks, produce boxes and mini meals, each fair served as a celebration of the new school year. It was a delight to have many of these additions return to Project Hope, following two years of paired-back adjustments in light of the pandemic.

School district officials remarked at how peaceful each giveaway felt. Plus, at each fair people from 4-12 churches worked together to show Jesus’ love to more than 4,000 guests!

Pre-selected students returning to 4J, Bethel, Springfield and Junction City schools had the opportunity to pick out new athletic shoes, socks, backpacks filled with school supplies, all in a fun-filled fair environment.

Project Hope is a Two-Day Outreach

School Work Day

On Saturday, churches partner with a neighborhood schools to prepare the facilities for the upcoming school year.  Volunteers provide hundreds of hours of manpower by power washing, weeding, trimming, painting, cleaning, window-washing and more!

Back-to-School Giveaway

The next day, more than 90 churches, organizations, and businesses partner in the Back-to-School Giveaway.

Through our combined efforts, we have provided approximately 3,000 students yearly with new shoes & socks, backpacks full of school supplies (and more) at five Kids’ Fair Giveaways in the Eugene, Springfield, and Junction City area.
